The purpose of this website is to host the online version of the PinkLine newsletter and to provide additional information to our members in a more timely manner.


We now have the ability to keep track of your newsletter preference: electronic or hard copy.  Unless you specify otherwise, the default will be to mail you a hard copy of the Pinkline newsletter.  If you would prefer an electronic notification, please use the Profile option on the left side to update your preference.

 Cal Poly Has Won the 1st Viewer's Choice Award
Cal Poly has Won the Tournanment of Roses "Viewers Choice Award" for its 2009 Entry "Seaside Amusement". Congratulations to all the Students for Pomona and SLO for their hard work. Here is a link to the video. Note though this video does not show the newscaster actually crashing one of the bumper cars, that will be posted later

 Vote for ‘Seaside Amusement’ to Win Viewers’ Choice Award
Show your support for the Cal Poly Universities' "Seaside Amusement" Rose Float, and vote for it to win the inaugural Viewers' Choice Award.

For the first time, fans can vote online for their favorite float from among the 43 entries in the 2009 Tournament of Roses Parade. The voting takes place on Jan. 1 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Visit www.ktla.com/roseparade to cast your ballot.

The winner will be announced at the Post Parade Showcase of Floats on KTLA Channel 5 on the morning of Jan. 2.

 Deco Weeik
The Cal Poly float is once again in the Brookside Tent in Lot I of the Rose Bowl. Public deco times on the 28th-29th are at 9am-6pm, 30th from 11am-6pm (bus tours may start at 7am), 31st 11am-1pm (once again bus tours may start at 7am).

Look for wristbands in the regular spot just to the east of the north exit in the white Cal Poly sign-in tent hosted by our Pomona Alumni and others. Please come out to help decorate. (Subject to change, you will figure it out...)

Please help us sell postcards in Ride-With-Cal Poly Postcard Fundraiser (this has raised $10,855.89 for each campus group since 1998), look for the booth and help out the cause!

 Float Move Dinner and Toast
Join fellow alumni to celebrate the students and the 2009 Float Move!

We will meet at the Acapulco Restaurant on Diamond Bar Blvd Sunday, Dec 21st 6:00 pm. Dinner/Beverages on your own. Laughter, Friendship Provided.

If you can't make dinner but can stop by to send the students off on their journey to Pasadena, please do! We will begin gathering at 7:45-8:00 and the toast will be at 8:30. That will give people time to socialize and gather, look at the float, converse with the students. Champagne/Martinelli Apple Cide provided!

In order to have adequate seating at the restaurant, please RSVP with Michele by Sat, Dec 20th.

Donor Appreciation Day is Saturday, Dec 13 at 2 pm. Come check out the float!

There will also be a RF Alumni Board meeting at 11:30, location TBD.

 November 2008 issue
The November 2008 issue of the Pinkline is now available in the downloads section of the website. You will have to be a registered member to download the PDF file. Hard copies will be mailed Wednesday.

 Beach Party
Beach Party

Sunday, Sept. 7th starting at 1 pm
Huntington State Beach at Magnolia and PCH

Pack up your beach chair, towel and sunscreen and come to the Alumni Beach Party. Bring the whole family.

Use the Magnolia entrance between Life Guard Towers 4 & 5 - end of the walk by the bathrooms.

We'll try to get the first ring by the walk. Hot dogs about 4 pm and bonfire about 6 pm until we run out of wood.

Please bring fire wood if you have some to share.
